Sire: Carthago Holsteiner
His sire, Carthago Z, leading sire of the Holstein stud and top international winner ridden by Jos Lansink. He won many international Grand Prix and Nations Cups (La Baule 1998 and 2000, Rotterdam, Francfort, Munich, Aachen...). He qualified for the Olympic final of the Atlanta Olympics. Carthago Z is the 3rd highest rated horse (jumping) of the german rankings.
Dam: Lucinda Z Hanoverian
Lucinda Z is also the dam of Avida Z, Rimini Z (top international
winner and member of the Greek Olympic team at Athens ridden by
Emmanouela Athanassiades ) and Calinda Z, very good international
winner at 7 years old.
Lucinda and Rimini were both born at the Zangersheide stud.
2nd dam: Astronome Z Holsteiner
Astronom Z was born at the presitigious stud farm or Maas J. Hell in the Hosltein area. Her sire is the great Ahorn, sire also of many stallions and international winners.
General comments
Gastronom shows tremendous strength and natural jumping ability
that will be the ideal match to sport type mares. His power,
amazing canter and very good back action could fit the needs of the
french breeds. He is best bred to small mares, of a blood
type.
